As part of a network of ensembles run by Hampshire Music Service, HCSC & HCSC2 offer unique performing opportunities for clarinettists, saxophonists & full rhythm section. Repertoire: Jazz, Swing, Big Band music (etc.).
There are two bands: HCSC and HCSC2. HCSC2 is the training band with members transferring to HCSC when they reach the required standard and providing there are places available.
There are no auditions, however enthusiasm and a sense of humour are a definite bonus!

HCSC and HCSC2 are part of the Hampshire Music Service, which is responsible for maintaining over 70 area and county music ensembles across Hampshire. These groups enjoy a high profile and an envious reputation locally, nationally, and internationally.
The Music Service is part of Hampshire County Council, and it provides instrumental and vocal teaching to more than ten thousand Hampshire children, taught by over 150 specialist music teachers. Through the service, schools and teachers are also able to obtain high quality music curriculum Inspection, advice and classroom teaching. These opportunities and resources bring to many children the experiences, excitement, and rewards of taking part in musical events, festivals and concerts as members of school, area and county bands, orchestras and choirs.
